We love the word of God and passionately believe in expository preaching, personal discipleship, and joyful celebration in church service through worship and fellowship.
Pastor: Albert Ngu
Pastor Albert Ngu and his family moved from Malaysia, after founding two churches there, to plant their third church in America, under the global church-planting movement of Hope of God International.
Hope of God International
We are part of the Hope of God International, a global church planting movement which has planted over 2000 churches in 5 continents. In America, our vision is to plant biblical churches in all 50 states and to send out church planters worldwide.
The first Hope church was started by a young couple in Bangkok in 1981. The church grew to 100 people in one year and 1,000 people in three years to become the largest church in the history of that nation. Today Hope Bangkok church is now over ten thousand people. It has sent out the seed- churches throughout the world.
Churches have been started in 35 countries including USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Norway, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Cindy Jacobs in 2006 gave this endorsement :
"Hope of Bangkok Church is on the cutting edge of this harvest thrust and I encourage you to get involved for the sake of thousands who need the Lord in this great nation."
Dr. Peter Wagner included Hope in his 1998 book ‘The New Apostolic Churches’.
Distinctives of the church
1. It is visionary. We are committed to plant 1 million churches by 2015.
2.
It is missions-driven. We are committed to plant churches in every nation, city and locality. Pastors support themselves.
3. It is covenant-oriented. We are committed to God and to each other just like the early church.
4. It is Word-centered. We are committed to the Scriptures as the inspired Word of God.
5. It is discipleship-focused. We mentor each member to be thoroughly equipped in a holistic manner.
6. It is a leadership training church. Leaders are continually raised within local churches through local church courses and camps, as well as yearly national and international conferences.
